Building from a True Service-oriented Architecture
Cmed Technology built Timaeus following a true service-oriented architecture (SOA) model. Discrete functions are contained entirely within service component modules. User interfaces (UIs) and end user client appliances are built following this service component architecture as well. As a result, it is easy to add, remove, or upgrade modules to better integrate with other enterprise systems.
Enabling Best-of-Breed Enterprise Architectures
Timaeus’ SOA architecture enables systems integrators (SIs) to easily incorporate it into a best of breed clinical enterprise architecture. Not only can SIs easily connect Timaeus end-to-end data management systems with other systems, such as clinical supply management systems or clinical trial management systems, they can also “swap” components into Timaeus (e.g., clinical trial design simulators) to provide even more advanced combinations of functionality to their customers.
